Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at Au Moulin Des Fees - Maison D'Hotes Cascades Du Herisson was a charming escape amidst the French Alps. The property's unassuming exterior belied a warm and inviting interior, where the staff, particularly Elisabeth, ensured a welcoming atmosphere. Our room was a delightful retreat, complete with a large comfy bed, perfect for winding down after a day of exploration. What truly set this experience apart was the family-friendly ambiance. As a father, I appreciated the special care taken to provide gluten-free options, catering to our dietary needs effortlessly. The hosts' investment in revitalizing the historic mill shone through, offering a perfect blend of comfort and rustic charm. Our little ones, under 2 years old, were accommodated with ease, and we felt at ease exploring the nearby waterfalls and enjoying the idyllic surroundings. The opportunity to meet fellow guests over a glass of wine, ham, and cheese added a lovely communal touch to our stay. I'd highly recommend this haven for families seeking a balance of relaxation and adventure in the heart of the lakes region.
